Life can feel hard at times. Some people describe feeling lonely, stuck, and misunderstood. Maybe you have gone through a recent change in your life, work or relationship. Life transitions, even happy ones, are known to cause anxiety at times. Sometimes we all need some support.
Over the past several years my practice has focused, among other areas, on: relationship issues, parenting, divorce, illness, and career transitions. I also work with couples to help them find what is needed to make their relationship better or find ways to part amicably.
Regardless of what brings you to therapy, I try to help you understand yourself better and work with you to create the life you wish you had. By listening attentively and combining empathy with humor, I work with my clients to help them understand their thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
My approach is informed by contemporary relational psychoanalysis and integrates trauma- informed and behavioral approaches. I have completed a four year post graduate training program in adult psychoanalysis and psychotherapy at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP).
